Global Consolidation & Logistics | Thirteen Hongs
Logistics
Refined packaging and unified shipping logistics ensuring your inventory arrives in showroom condition. Consolidated shipping with tracking and quality checks at every point.
Preparing a consolidated fashion shipment
Prepare a supplier-by-supplier goods list, expected readiness dates, packing requirements, and destination. Ask whether the proposed orders can be consolidated, how receipt and QC findings will be recorded, and which transport and destination charges are included. Compare the delivery scope, not just a headline freight price.
Buyer reference: this checklist does not quote freight, guarantee delivery times, confirm customs clearance, or establish a tax-paid delivery service.
What to confirm in a logistics quote
| Decision | Information to provide | Question to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Goods to combine | Supplier list, order references, and item quantities | Can these orders be received and dispatched together? |
| Readiness | Expected completion dates for each supplier | What happens if one order is late, and are waiting costs applicable? |
| Packing and QC | Carton, labeling, handling, and inspection requirements | What checks and repacking work are included? |
| Transport | Destination, goods details, and desired arrival date | Which route and milestones are being quoted? |
| Delivery responsibilities | Requested delivery scope and any proposed trade term | Who arranges transport, insurance, import formalities, and destination charges? |
Consolidation and delivery questions
Can purchases from different suppliers travel together?
Request confirmation for the specific goods and supplier orders. Include their readiness dates and packing requirements. Ask what can be combined, whether any items need separate handling, and which receipt records will be available.
What costs should I ask about?
Ask the quotation to identify collection, receipt checks, storage where applicable, repacking, transport, insurance, and destination charges. Confirm which items are included, separately charged, or handled by another party. Do not infer an all-inclusive delivery service from a freight figure.
Is there a fixed worldwide delivery duration?
This guide does not establish one. Request a schedule for the goods, route, and destination, distinguishing supplier readiness, consolidation, dispatch, and transport. Ask how schedule changes will be communicated and which dates are confirmed rather than requested.
Why should a quote identify delivery responsibilities?
Buyer and seller need to know which tasks, costs, and risks each party accepts. ICC's Incoterms® rules provide a framework for clarifying delivery responsibilities. Ask the quotation to state the agreed rule and named place where applicable; confirm the order-specific scope with the responsible parties.
What should I confirm before dispatch?
Compare the received-goods record and packing list with the orders. Confirm agreed QC findings, carton and label instructions, dispatch details, and the tracking or shipment documents to be provided. Discuss unresolved discrepancies before accepting the dispatch plan.
